Known as the_dia_being_mindset on socials, Jean is an Irish student dietitian, sea swimmer, dancer, singer, and writer. In December 2020, she started blogging on Instagram under the theme “dia-being,” aiming for an honest portrayal of life with diabetes. Jean’s advocacy extends to promoting access to diabetes care and technology, and she actively engages in the diabetes online community. Her journey has led her to major conferences, speaking engagements, and even setting up a peer support group in Edinburgh. Jean’s story is one of empowerment, resilience, and a commitment to fostering understanding and support within the diabetes community
